Wedding Bliss At Its Finest...

Well, I'm back home...all in one piece and with a tad bit of sanity left.
I spent a little over 2 weeks on the road doing Trunk Shows all around the southeast. I felt like I-85 and I-65 were two new homes.
(Tearing up the Roads-Doesn't the sky look awesome?)
I did manage to squeeze in a little wedding planning time, albeit briefly. I also have a new found admiration for Brides, MOB's, BM's, and anyone affiliated with the wedding party.
Planning a wedding is supposed to be one of the most exciting times of your life-and it is. I mean let's face it-You're planning one of the biggest days of your life-but at the same time it can be very stressful.
As a little girl I had dreams of what kind of man I was going to marry (Check!) and what type of wedding I would have. For some reason my little 7 year old mind didn't figure in all the details. I guess that's why they call it a fairy tail.
So here I am, 22 years old, filling in all the details. Anyone who knows me knows me knows that I'm a little bit of a control freak (yes, I'm willing to admit it). I have always felt that if I didn't do something it wasn't going to get done. I am notorious for taking on a little more than I can handle. Come to find out this is one of the worst traits to have when planning a wedding. (That might be why the wedding location changed...ohhh about 5 times)
This has been my wedding planning motto:
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7
With all that being said--We have gotten a lot done in the past few weeks.
Here are all the juicy details.
1.) Rehearsal Dinner Slideshow
I am making the video for the rehearsal dinner. Thanks to one of my Professors at Auburn- Dr. French- I'm a master at iMovie. (sorry, I never cared enough about my writing- so it still suffers- but the video is going to be AWESOME)
Sneak Peak!!
2.) Location, Location, Location
Mom and I went to the lake this past weekend to scope everything out! The chapel is 100% to die for! It only seats about 150 so it's going to be a tight squeeze but so worth it! There are 10 pews on one side and 8 on the other and a VERY tiny balcony) The isle is very short...about 30 feet...SO Perfect! I'm hoping with the distance being short-tears will be kept to a minimum. Downside--Patrick and I are going to be up-close and personal with the congregation..So y'all are going to see any tears that do slips out! HA! I am so in love with the chapel. It's going to be a delicate as well as intimate setting! Everything I wanted and more!
Oh yea, The chapel has AC...Major plus for July!
(You pull up to the back of the church-Stunning!)
(This is the front of the church)
(This is the view from the balcony--UHHHmazing)
3.) Let the Party Begin
We are still up in the air about the location for the reception. Our lake house is undergoing some major construction (We're shooting for completion sometime during May or June) . I'm also not sure what Trillium's rules are for home parties and most importantly--BANDS!
We've narrowed it down to these 3 options.
1. Our Lake House
2. The Spring House
3. The Harbor House
4.) Wedding Party Attire
Another thing that has changed numerous times :) This is the final decision. They have been ordered and are absolutely stunning!
Bridesmaids: Lilly Pulitzer's "Betsey Dress Jacquard" in "Shorely Blue"
(Thanks to Mary Anne and all the girls at Palm Avenue in Charleston, SC for all your help)
Groomsmen: Calvin Klein Linen Jacket and Pants in a light sand color.
5.) Photographer
Kelly Cummings of Spindle Photography out of Birmingham, AL is going to be the photographer! She's amazing and her work is out of this world! My mother, Aunt, and I met up with her last week at the Red Cat in Birmingham and it was love at first sight! She and an assistant are covering the wedding day as well as shooting our engagement pictures (We are waiting until I get somewhat "tan" to do those...Probably around May)

That's all for today...
Except for this one last thing
F.Y.I-- Last night was the first time I had EVER eaten a sloppy joe. (yeah I know)
(They were indeed Sloppy)
